Folks,
A Great News!
Indeed, a long awaited news.
Just called an agency in Korea, and subsequently called MOHW to verify the information.
The agencies will start submitting the EP requests to MOHW next week.
It could be anywhere between Monday, March 5th and Friday the 9th.
When I asked MOHW whether they were able to sort through all the regulations regarding adoption laws and other regulations and policies, they said they were not finished, but said that it will be an ongoing process. Regardless, they do want to move on with issuing the EPs.
I would like to think that all of you have contributed in some ways to make this happen.
Thanks to all of you for waiting patiently all these months.
Your prayers have been answered.
As for me, I just had to thank the Lord.
Steve Morrison
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This has made my night!
ReplyDeleteI can't say thank you enough.
DeleteYes, finally......
ReplyDeletePraise God!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve for working so hard to keep us updated! Praise the Lord!!
DeleteI can't wait to see the first families start posting about being submitted! Then it will feel real!
ReplyDeleteI second that!
DeleteThank you to Steve everyone who has been praying, waiting and interested. I hope everyone waiting can travel and have placement this year. I wish the babies a good life.
ReplyDeleteSincere thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Bring on March 5th-9th! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a voice for the families and for these babies. Can't wait to see what next brings!
ReplyDeleteThis is what we have been praying for!! Steve, thanks for being our only way of being updated while we wait.
ReplyDeleteI found a song that all waiting families should hear, "While I'm Waiting" by John Waller. If you are waiting to bring your child home PLEASE listen to this song!!!!!!!
Praise the Lord! Thanks for all your help too :)
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteThis was a great post to wake up to this morning. As everyone else has said, Thank you. Though it hardly seems enough. The thought that my family may be united before summer is almost too much for my heart to take!
With much love and admiration.
Thank you so much Steve for this lifeline of information. We are praising God today for moving mountains!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! That was the first thing I read when I woke up this morning and it has already made my day! I sure hope it's true, can't wait to see these babies coming home!
ReplyDeleteSteve, thank you so much for being so involved in this process on our behalf. You are our lifeline. My husband and I are so grateful for you. I hope that you know how much you are loved and appreciated by us all.
ReplyDeleteMany happy tears being shed over here!
ReplyDeleteGreat News; and thank you !
ReplyDeleteNot to be ungrateful, but is there any indication that they will Increase the Number of EPs instead of be capped by the Quota ?
I ask this, b/c there is an ever increasing backlog and last year it filled up early and More and More kids had to wait another year. If things are pushed into 2013 We are at great risk of these babies becoming 2 and 3 yrs old before they are united with the parents who have had accepted referrals for over 12mos ago. Our guy will be turning 2 this summer. Makes us sad.
THANK YOU !!
Great news! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very promising! Thank you so much for keeping us posted and making so many long distance calls to Korea!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news, Steve, thanks so much!!! You really do so much for all of us, and I know our family appreciates it (and we're sure everyone else's does too :-)).
ReplyDeleteUS agencies are beginning to report March 5! Yay!
ReplyDeleteWe have heard the same thing!
DeleteHave been praying...now rejoicing...nevertheless, amid the tears of joy and thanksgiving, continuing to pray with HOPE for the day our grandson is united with his forever parents and our whole family. Psalm 118.24 Jeremiah 29.11-13
ReplyDeleteToday I found and caught up on your blog. What a wonderful resource for us as a family waiting on our daughter to come home from Korea.
ReplyDeleteDo you know and could you share information the EP breakdown from 2011? How many total were issued? How many to eat agency? Just curious.
Sorry, I don't the EP information from 2011. Nor do I have the EP breakdown for each of the three agencies.
DeleteOn the State Department website, under adoptions from South Korea by year, the number for 2011 is 736.
DeleteThis is such wonderful news for everyone, especially the kiddos waiting to meet their forever families! Thank you for being a resource to so many families : )
ReplyDeleteI also wonder if you've heard anything about referrals this year? Has there been a reason for the hold up on referrals as our agency has only had 1 thus far? Will they be starting up again soon?
